Looks extremely good.

I'd say the color of the saw in the first one works better. Fits better with the type of light you have coming in and stuff.

Actually I'd say overall the first one is definitely better. Better shadows etc.

Good work. Can we see a wireframe?

They both look a bit to dark in my opinion, a bit of indirect illumination wouldn't hurt. The moddeling looks pretty good Only one thing I would change is the materials, everything looks very clean, I think if you dirt it up a bit it would really rock

I should have mentioned this is a pre-caustic light render

It will have the caustics being generated by the screw-driver etc.
