Pin Cloth using Syflex

Hey Everyone,
I'm using Maya 5.01 and Syflex plugin version 2.1. I just created a pair of pants and would like to pin the top row of vertices (the belt area) to the body, but I have been having difficulties. Everytime i set up the pin, the pin defaults to the bottom of the pants in the center, and the vertices appear really small and scaled down. No matter what i do to the pin, move, scale, rotate, I just can't get those top row of vertices to be pinned full scale at the top of the pants. I would be appreciative of any suggestions. Thx

Hi there, blaze

I cannot get to the root of your problem unless there's some scaling issue with either:

A./ Your collision obj. transforms having not being frozen before applying the pins;

B./ Your cloth obj. transforms having not being frozen before applying the pins to vertices;

C./ Do your 'forces' and 'gravity' match your global scaling accurately?

Normally Gerard (Syflex) is pretty good at solving (no pun intended!) these probs....
Otherwise, feel free to e-mail me a (whittled down) file at the below address, and I'll take a quick look if you wish :

Thanks for your suggestions Chris, I appreciate it. Actually, I solved the issue yesterday - in my preferences, my units were set to feet and not to centimeters - when maya is working in cm, the syflex nails and pins have been working great, so i guess you just have to make sure that whatever units you're using in maya, make sure you are using the same units with syflex. Hope that helps anyone else that was having a similar problem.
