hell if you want DV I use an adaptec 4310 DV card .
80 bucks man.
just a conector card.
what exactly do you want to do with it?
-the DC30+ card is about 6 years old. uses 5v PCI slot.
it gives you SVHS and composite I/O, @ about 3:1 compression. - no DV!
no realtime anything, but ok for getting a demo reel to VHS, or archiving old VHS footage....................
Don't pay more that $150-$200...........

The pinacle DV500 Plus is going there for $999 CDN. I have one myself and it works great. Comes with Adobe Premiere 6, Impressions for DVD Authoring, Title Deko, Smart Sound and real time filters. As well as 2 IEEE-1394 i/o ports on the card. Great stuf. If you are talking american money, this is under a grand.
