I'm in the early days of developing Delta Compositor, which will be a free Shake-like compositing package.
With the phasing out of Shake I thought now might be a good time to make a free Open Source compositor as a kind of replacement, and I want it to be used by commerical Highend companies as well as "enthusiasts".
I'd like some advice and comments on what it should be like and what kind of features it should have.
As I'm also a plugin developer* I have a whole lot of ideas about how it should work underneath, but I'd be grateful for feature requests and comments about what is good and bad about existing packages. What works well? What's annoying? What's essential?
Delta's first usable release will be a few months away so you'll have to wait a while before you see your requests come to anything, but your suggestions now will help me plan the core parts of Delta right away.
