This may be a lamer question.
When I playblast, Maya seems to capture the frames directly from my screen. Now, this is fine at first, but when you start working on long shots, it becomes a real hindrance not to be able to toggle to another application and work on something else during the render. If I move a window in front of the playblast while it's rendering, my .AVI ends up with chunks of garbage.
Is there any way to tell playblast to work in RAM rather than on screen, so I can multitask??
I'm running Maya 7.
