Playing .mov File? Urgent!

PLease anyone this is urgent,

I modeled a television tower of about 8 different TV sets. This is for my senior final, and I'm working on three different projects at the same time so time is very critical right now.

I can't figure out how to play a video in maya, and I have .mov files.... Do I have to use .avi? I triued to use an IFF image sequence to play but it doesn't work..
and is there a way to change a .mov into a .avi without having to re render the files???

Just becasue you fail to get something to work does not mean it works not.

Your supposed to use iff image sequences. HOWEVER please pay attention to how you NAME the files maya expects format name.paddedNumber.ext to get it working! (theres several other formats older matyas suport but thets the only one maya will support ubniversaly)

No you will not have better luck with avi either,. However thuis only applies to the 3 renderers that shiip with maya if you sue something esle aits a different ballgame. (for example if its mrfm then this does not apply, read your renderers docs.)

PS: begging for help because you have a deadline does not help. We all have deadlines. Besides ask your teaching staff they are bound to know thats why you go to school. Anyway forums are free service its best you do not burden people here with your obligations becase people here still have none to you.
