I'm trying to make a marionette in maya, but this happens... why?
It isn’t disappearing; it just moves really far, really fast. I have restarted it/the computer various times, and tried it on other computers, with the same result. The problem remains when I bake the keys. It’s on the midpoint solver; the other solvers break it even more. The weird thing is while I was making it the dynamics worked fine, but looked more bouncy [I have a playblast if you want to see what I mean].
Also any tips you can give me on executing this idea better would be much appreciated. Specifically what I could do to make the “wire” [the nail constraint attached to the head] look more like a wire’s physics. The spring constraint has too much give and take, I need something more like hold and take; alas the n-meshes penetrate each other too easily to switch over to n-dynamics [there may be an easy way to fix this, I’m not sure]. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steven
P.S. The project is due on the 5th of dec.
