Please help! Particle Rendering Problem!

I cant seem to render particles!
They show up fine on the preview and I can add them OK to the workspace, but they dont render in the final output and they are not displayed when I click on the final composite.
I thought it was something wrong which I was doing, so I tried to render the output on one of the example tutorials (the spaceship and the artemis woman) but they wont render on those either.
As I mentioned before they show up fine if you have selected the actual particle operator, but if you select the final composite operator (which the particle operator is linked to) then they dont show up. Can someone please explain what is going on? Thanks! Your help is appreciated.

Go into the preferences menu of combustion and select OpenGL. Turn on "use software OpenGL" in the menu.

Then try rendering your composition. It should work.

This issue occurs when you either have not got a display card certified by discreet or if you have you must check the drivers that work with combustion on your display card.....
