my whole character is one polygonal object, clothing and all. i've mapped different uv sets for the different pieces of clothing, skin, etc. using a layered texture node i wanted to combine all of the different textures into one material.
what's happening: even though the 'shoes' texture map is assigned to the shoe uv map (in relationship editor) the texture is scattering over the whole character- its mapping to the shoes corerctly. i'm puzzled because the shoe uv map doesn't even contain those other uv's.
i'm doing something wrong. does anyone know how to perform this kind of layered texturing?
