Hello all,
Ive been reading up on hair and have tackled a practise piece involving a ponytail and an XSI default head model. After combing the head hair back i started on the tail by scaling one guide hair nice and long, grabbing the tip point and placing it in a nice downward ponytail shape. When I preview this "one" guide hair I have a wholeslew of rendered hairs not conforming to the shape i inteded or the guide hair suggests. Lots of rendered hairs follow the basic idea but most seem to be doing their own thing. Also all of them are 3/4 the length of the guide hair. I have tried two guide hairs and clumping and locking points at the top to simulate a band holding the hair with bad results as well..
Any ideas? I would like to have a nice full ponytail and also have it all come together real nice where the hair piece is holding it.
Currently all the hair on the entire head is one op, is this where im going wrong?
Thanks in advance,
