Sorry, I should have said I've never seen this with a wrap deformer before.
I'm going to go through all the nodes again, and see if there is anything I can find.

I've looked at my scene, and the only inputs for my hires geo, and the wrap is the layer they're in.
They don't have any output nodes.
Could you suggest some tools or techniques to check out nodes of an object?

I've just finished starting from scratch again, right from my lores geo, and I'm still getting the double transforms on my high res geo.
I understand where double transforms come from, and have handled other problems fine, but this time the high res and wraps are not parented under anything, and other than the wrap deforming the high res, are not bound to anything. when I check the deformation order, in the "all inputs" dialogue box, the hires geo has Wrap then Tweak, the wrap has transform Geometry, Blend Shape, Skin Cluster, Tweak.
From what I understand, the transform geometry is from the blend shapes on the wrap.
I've tried changing the settings without any effect.
I'm really stumped about this problem, and not sure even where to start looking for a solution.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
