Problem with rendering particles!

Hi, i try to do the tutorial of "Working with motion graphics" but i can't render the particles. I can see them in the preview or if i render to Ram, but when i try to do a final Render Output, they don't show up, even when Software Open GL is checked.

Please i need help.

SGI 540
Win NT 4.0 SP6
Single Pentium III Xeon 550 mhz
256 RAM

Did you solve this? Not sure what you need to do to see particles in your final render, but if you see them in your RAM preview, you can just output that RAM sequence multiple times, even changing the output format if you need to. So you could output as a Targa still sequence and assemble a final that way. You should certainly attempt to discover why everything isn't appearing in your final render, but rendering from RAM may help if you pressed for time on a sequence.

I had the exact same problem on a different project. Whilst rendering to RAM everything looks fine, on playback particles are lost. Did you have any luck solving this problem? I have asked several people and they have similar problems. I am yet to see a rendered particle composite so I am beginning to wonder whether it is possible to do so at all! Please help!!

Particles in combustion has alot to do with the graphics card you are using with your system.....

What graphics card are you using?

What I am going to say to you, you might not like.

Your paticles is not working because the display card you are using is not certified for combustion for whatever reason.

If you go to http://www.discreet.com/support/combustion

You should find a list of the graphics cards which have been tested and work with combustion...
