Hello.
I don't know if this is the good board to post this, but it seems more adequate than the animation board. And also, sorry for any mistakes, I'm french.
I have a problem while trying to use the script SkinningTools (http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downloads/scripts-plugins/animation/c/skinningtools) in Maya 2011. The script worked fine in previous versions, but when I try to run it in 2011, I get this :
skinningTools;
// Warning: The -lw/-labelWidth flag is obsolete and should not be used. //
// Warning: The -la/-labelAlign flag is obsolete and should not be used. //
// Warning: The -la/-labelAlign flag is obsolete and should not be used. //
// Warning: The -la/-labelAlign flag is obsolete and should not be used. //
// Warning: The -la/-labelAlign flag is obsolete and should not be used. //
// Warning: file: /home/usr/stage2/maya/2011-x64/scripts/skinningTools.mel line 3867: Converting string "2011 x64." to a float value of 2011. //
// Warning: The -la/-labelAlign flag is obsolete and should not be used. //
// Error: Controls must have a layout. No layout found in window : //
I learned that some flags from the MEL were removed in 2011, and among them, the -la and -lw label. But it seems what"s really causing a problem is the last line... I'm not very good at scripting, so I wanted to know if there was a way to correct this problem and if it"s a complicated thing to do.
If someone has an answer, it would be very useful. Me and my classmates have been using this script for two years, and I don't know what we'll do when we will have to work on maya 2011 without it. I know there are others scripts similar to this one, and I've tested them but they're not as useful as ST for what we're doing. So please, if anyone knows how to make it work, we would be very grateful !
