someone posted a link to this site earlier claiming $800 for the 900xgl...i see the pricing has been corrected now.
i see nvidia no longer has the philosophy to make affordable workstation cards.....once you get up that high....you might as well spend the extra cash for the wildcat.
The 750 XGL is going for $800 and the 700 XGL is going to be cheaper. If you think that's too pricey then you can always get a regular Geforce 4 ti.

what is it that you get with the q4 and not the gf4 that is worth another 1100$?
Well one thing is that it's tested to run Maya, Max, or whatever. You go off and buy a cheap Geforce and who knows if it will work with Maya or not. My Asus Geforce 3 at work crashed every hour. It costs a lot of money to pay programmers to get those drivers right. Plus it's not like a lot of people buy these cards to begin with. The 900XGL is faster than the Wildcat III and it's still cheaper. Another thing is that these are pro cards and I'm pretty sure that the comapanies we work for can afford one. They're not for the starving students, but if you are one you can always get an older cheaper card.
Well we shall see over the weekend, we shall have a 6210 & 900XGL head to head and lets really see what is going to be fully worth it all.
