ram question

im buying some PC133 ram and i wanna buy some micron ram
does unbuffered or buffered make a difference
and has anyone had any problems running micron ram on an abit motherboard

buffered ram is that error checking ram isn't it( may be way off) ? that is used in servers more I beleive . Get waht you other ram is to match it I think would be the best way.

.............

ive got no other ram building a new system
i ended up buying 3 micron 128 meg chips PC133

The buffered RAM is called ECC. It is better for servers and data critical workstations, but because of the buffering (error correcting) it is slower. It is also more expensive and (a little) harder to find. For a 3D machine you should get the quick and dirty regular ram. Spend the extra bucks on the 133mhz bus. Maya will appreciate it.

thats what i did
i bought the PC133 ram from micron paid 125 bucks for a 128 meg chip
