What do I apply so that my read node (a JPG-file for example) is treated as AutoAlpha like in shake?
If I have 2 jpg images and want to merge them with an over node, they do not blend like i want them to. If I set the output of the over node to only rgb it works. But then I get problems down the way if I continue since blur filters for example mess it up. Everytime I blur an image I have to add a transform node just to get the alpha channel back.
What am I missing? What is the easiest way to do the shake-style AutoAlpha in Nuke? So that jpg-images and such are threated they way they would be in photoshop for example?
Say I have an jpg read node that i duplicate, and one of the read nodes I make a blur, then I merge the nodes with over. Why is my blurred node kind of transparent? If I put an transform node after the blur node it becomes like I want the blend to be. I want the over node to work like in Photoshop when you have multiply layers and everything is always blended with the Normal transfer. How do I set a jpg image to act like that. Or any other format, tif, tga that isn't mentioned to be keyed.
Thank you for all help. Maybe it isn't even the over node I should use. Is the over node similiar to the Normal transfer in photoshop? I don't know... I know that if I set the filein node in shake to autoalpha, everything acts like I want it to. So please help..
