Realistic hair simulation with mental Ray

I know there are scores of tutorial on internet regarding hair simulation.However I wloud like to know if there is one method which is SPECIFIC to mental ray for simulating long realistic hair ?

it is not mentalray who made the simulation, he just render them, but there is an example video on hair simulation on the softimage website
