Reformat Node

Hello guys,

how do you find the reformat node? I have been working in something and I have been using the reformat node as suggested by the Nuke documentation. This is creating some headache when I rotoscope something as if I switch betweeen the full resolution and the proxi mode, my shape doesnt update accordingly even if I attach the same reformat node to the shapes. If I attach the same reformat node at the end of my network again is doenst update the shapes but just the image. What am i doing wrong?

not sure what your setup looks like but generally I would recommend to use a Constant node to feed into the Bezier when you're using formats in your script that differ from the script settings (which is what the beziers will pick up if not connected). Make sure the Constant node has the same format and proxy ratio before(!) you start drawing the shape. Existing shapes won't be scaled to a new format.
Depending on what you want to do you can also just append the Bezier to the actual image and draw the shape straight into it. That way you can make sure whatever happens to the image will happen to the Bezier in full and proxy mode.

a good thing is to set the full size and proxy size according
to your footages before beginning to work....
i forget quite often to do that, as lot of my co-workers.
so we've added that stuff in our menu.tcl
(here, for a 24fps 2K feature film)

If you ever can't find something in nuke there are two easy ways to find it. First is right click and go to other>all plugins...it has every feature in alphabetical order...the other, and my personal favorite (this is as of V5) press tab in the DAG and type Reformat (actually it will find it at about ref) and press enter
