Hi, I'm going through the Gnomon DVD's for Nuke, and the instructor brought up the reformat tool to be used after ever reader node. Is there a reason for this? His explanation didn't seem to make much sense to me. He chose an output format that was 2K, and an NTSC proxy format. In my experience I'd always have a proxy that was 1/2 or 1/4 of the full scale, to make it 1024 x 768, or 512 x 389. In any case though, neither of these are the size of his source (720 x 389), which I thought was odd. Any ideas? I'll probably be asking a lot of dumb questions till I know this app as well as I know AE and Fusion.
Any help would be great.
