Greets to all...Im having a prob rendering a couple scenes in MayaNT 2.5 Here whats going on and my best guess.
The scenes Im having probs in have software rendered fire particles (from the Effects > Fire). If I try to render using my 2 processors mayabatch crashes out. If i use 1 CPU it goes through the render and renders everything in the scene except the particle fire. I get the message "particles not rendered in ipr render" in the script editor. The image files rendered out are in the iprImages directory (not the images dir) and have ipr added to the file name (and are extremely large in size).
This leads me to believe that these are IPR batch rendered images, not regular images.
I can't figure out how to get around this or how to turn off this ipr batch render crap. It has only done it (so far) on the scenes w/ fireFX and deleting the fireFX doesn't solve the prob.
Im running out of time and I have a scene coming up where a castle tower explodes (which means i'll be using fire and particles and all that good stuff extensively). I can't render the damn flame on a torch, how the hell am i gonna do a tower on fire?
Any help or insight or pity will be much appreciated.
