Rendered animation extension

I can't seem to get my animated renderings to display the file extension .Tif. I set globals to tif and it renderings it fine but there's no file extension. I can go into windows and manually add the .tif extension and everythings okay after that. However I don't want to have to rename all 300 frames, if I don't have to. I'm in designStudio 10 run on NT. Thanks

Check and make sure windows isn't masking the file extensions for you. In the folder options.

If not then just download one of the many file renamer apps out on the web or here on highed. Seq911 is a pretty one here in the software tools section.

another way to rename quickly is to bring up a DOS shell, and in the correct file directory (!) type :

RENAME *. *.TIF

(of course, all files without an extension will be renamed, so be careful nothing is in that directory that you don't want renamed!!)

Thanks, I went and download a file renamer and everything worked out great. Glad that I wont be editing each file extension manually.
