Rendering A Playblast In Renderfarm

Hello!

Does anybody knows the method of Rendering a playblast movie in Renderfarm?
It's very tedious to wait until a playblast ends with highly smoothed objects.

If you have extra full maya licences that are not in use yes (your licence is limitted to one per machine in gui use). So just launbch maya gui form commandline.

HOWEVER: use hw render instead. Doesnet have the gui overhead and restrctions in licencing

PS: if you wnat to assemble a avi our qt out fo it your out of luck since compression is one machine duty only so no 2 macunes could cooperate in compression.

But What I meant was how can I use multi CPUs in making Playblast file in Maya.

No its a screen grab by your gfx card, not your cpu. So unless you have 2 graphics cards and 2 maya licenses then no.

You can off course render with many cpus, however you may have noticed that screngrabs are much faster, because its a decicated processor thats doing it for you. Soo the normal cpus don't help much here since the GPU is a 100 times faster at it.
