Hi,
I have two dome enclosing my environment.
1st dome has a sky texture on it and I have the primary rays on and the secondary rays off. The material I have on it is a ray - type node. The reason for having the secondary rays off is to NOT have it reflect in reflective objects. It serves as my background. The reason I have a ray-type node on it is so it does not give off Final Gathering rays.
2nd Dome- This is my HDRI dome and is slightly larger then the 1st dome. It also has a raytype node on it to prevent it from giving off FG rays. It's purpose is to provide HDRI reflections in my scene.
Now here is the problem. When I look through transparent objects onto the background it renders black because the secondary rays are off on my 1st dome. I would like to look through my transparent objects and see the sky texture on my 1st dome. I feel as if I'm screwed because if I turn the secondary rays back on then I'm getting refections I dont' want but at the same time I don't want my transparent objects to render black either.
Does a work around exist?
