Rendering Distance Tool

Hello people,

DOes anyone knows a way to render the measurement tool>distance tool?

I have an animation where two objetcs with a distace tool apllied on them move away from each other, so the distance tool changes its value...can i render that? i tried in the hardware render buffer and i couldn't...

I don't think you can render it in either hardware or software. Your best bet is probably to do a Playblast of just the distance icon at render resolution and use that as a layer in compositing. If you crank the contrast right up to get a black and white image then blur it very slightly (to simulate anti-aliasing), you'l get a quick and dirty alpha channel for the layer's transparency.

to make a rendering of the measurement tool, you first export the scene in a format as DWG , Then import it in a new scene Then drawing all distance you needed by measurement tool and finally render scene by Maya hardware
