I've spent countless hours online trying to pinpoint how to utilize
all 8 cores (multiprocessing, not hyperthreading) with rendering out
of MR.
If I choose the 'batch render' option box, it gives me the options to
select up to 16 threads, then I just leave 'auto tiling' on.
but renders don't seem any faster then just doing regular with one cpu.
I've checked my activity monitor and it has Maya @ cpu of about 780, threads 35,
real memory about 800mb, and
using 2Gb of virtual memory. but I have 32Gb of memory.
is there an engine add-on or plugin, trick or setting for making MR use all 8 cores?
or is it already based upon these read-outs??
it just seems slow for how much computer this is.
