Can anyone tell me what is most likely wrong here, and how I can fix it? Are there some things one need to do in order to prepare the scene for renderman?
Everything the cloud type is basically a blobby particle with some trasparency mapped on its diameter. Now theres not really a corresponding particle type in renderan thats exactly the same. It could be made but thet would be a bit pointless since you could get so much better results with other methods.
Remeber choice of renderer affects ALL ASPECTS of your life. ist not just a simple we do exactly the same as the other kind of thing. It changes everything form modeling to animation. (yes t get most out fo render man you will need to model a bit different than you used to, for one theres not much point in using polygonal models with prman, then several overlaps shoudl be modeled out because they are a huge problem for the hider)
