now we have render our image form maya for tv betacame images format it is ntst 720*486 but i know there is a option just like max safe frame ot let you how close of your camera in order to prevent cut by the tv screen , i guess maybe in the camera settting : resulation gate or safe action but not very sure could some one tell me ? thank you very much
Resolution Gate tells you what part of the viewport will be rendered.
Safe Action refers to what part of the rendered area will be seen on any television
Safe Title refers the area the titles and text should be in.. titles should never be outside this area as on older tv's it will get cut off or distorted.
g
its in your view settings by the way --show

Hi,I only wished that Maya also had a safe action / safe title for Pal 720 X 576 also like 3d studio Max.Nitin
when you change your resolution in the renderglobals, does the safe action andtitle box dimension not reflect that change?I have not checked this fact yet.

They are under View-->Camera Settings---> Safe Action/Safe Title
