Animate the pivot! Just make sure the pivot animation i stepped. Its rather easy, especialy if you make a 3 line mel button to help you key the pivot ritate pivot translate (better add the attribute to your channelbox).

Couldn't find the direct link since it really old, but here's basically what it was. Rolling Cube tutorial.

STEP ONE
Create a poly cube 2, 2 and 2.
Using the Move tool, place the front of the cube at 0 along the Z axis. Now move the pivot point to the middle of the cube
