Roto Splines

Hi, im currently working on my 1st composting showreel in shake. I want to show the moving roto-splines and shapes on the shot breakdown, but i don't know how to do this... Can anyone out there please let me know how this is done

No one never show rotosplines in a showreal.... what a funy idea. Show before and after.. because the splines are ennoying to really see if the edge is fine.

well, if you really want to show it the only way i see is render your matte, or if you want to show both in same time, i would use a edge detect on your matte, color this roto edge with an add or a mult and comp it on top of your plate.
You will nor have the handles but that give you the shape.

lol, yeah i guess it is a funny idea, i seen it done on a reel and thought that looked pretty good... i tried an edge detect after the shapes and gave it a lil colour, it worked a treat and looked cool. but i see what you mean, i probably would be better off just showing the before and after...

ive never seen she shape controls used in the reels, but i have seen the alpha mask used quite a bit. actually i take that back i have seen it but it was most likely done using some sort of screen capture software
