When you make changes to your essential frameworks, in this case the GUI is being re-hauled to Qt. This kind if transition WILL break things.
Subsequently the problem with this kind of migration is that the essentials change in content too. So Something you take for granted will be gone, you gain some you lose some. This happens alot nearly every company that comes up with a new platform kills stuff that was good in the old one, ive seen it happen to nearly all technical vendors which software or hardware ive used. New is not better, just different. Also Autdoesk essentially has replaced the entire old alias team with their own so expect Autodesk to sell you stuff you already had for years to come.
