for some reason recently a scene of mine is behaving differently, and I'm not sure what I changed:
when I scrub the timeline, maya is doing a "run-up" from frame 0 every time.
so if I'm on frame 30 and scrub to frame 29 for instance, it will go back to frame zero and play all frames through 29.
I'm assuming this is a particle run-up behavior?
There is one particle object in the scene, but it's always been there, and this used to not happen.
Did I switch a setting somewhere inadvertently?
