Runtime variable question

Can somebody help me out with my code?
//the following is the situation
vector v_1 = <>;
vector v_2 = <>;
//and so on.........

//And I want to use a for-loop to iterate through them
for ( $i = 1; $i <=2; $i++ ) {
spaceLocator
-position ("v_"+$i+".x") ("v_"+$i+".y") ("v_"+$i+".z");
//THE ABOVE STATEMENT DOESN'T WORK
//-position eval("v_"+$i+".x") eval("v_"+$i+".y") eval("v_"+$i+".z");
//I TRIED USING EVAL, DOESN'T WORK ALSO
}

Missing $ sign with variable names below ( should be $v_ not v_)
-position ("v_"+$i+".x") ("v_"+$i+".y") ("v_"+$i+".z");

try making things simpler for testing by storing in temporary variables before passing them on for eg.
$tx= ("$v_" +$i+".x");
etc

This is what I got in History:

{//START OF TEST BLOCK

vector $v\_1 = <<0,0,0>>;
vector $v\_2 = <<1,1,1>>;
string $tx, $ty, $tz;

for ( $i = 1; $i<=2; $i++ )
{
    $tx = "$v\_" + $i + ".x";
    $ty = "$v\_" + $i + ".y";
    $tz = "$v\_" + $i + ".z";
    spaceLocator
        -position eval($tx) eval($ty) eval($tz);
}

}//END OF TEST BLOCK
// Error: line 13: Invalid linear unit: eval //

Did I use eval wrongly?

Thanks. And Happy New Year!

umm yeah this wont work!

spaceLocator -position eval($tx) eval($ty) eval($tz);

try

spaceLocator -position $tx $ty $tz;

you dont need to evaluate variables unless you want the variable to actualy execute! Wich it sint doing in this case.
