First of all I want to say THANK YOU for your reply!
I tried the inherits transforms on three of my characters and it fixed one of them (nikki) beautifully. My boy character (troy) is not hard to fix. I continued to mess with the characters after I found the problem and discovered, by accident, that if I select the offending vertices and move them, then hit Ctrl Z to edit undo it sets those vertices back into the place where they were supposed to be in the first place. It is wierd that it works but i am not arguing at this point (I am facing a major deadline).
The only one that i still wrestling with is my other girl character (Tiffany). Here is the basic setup. I have her standardly rigged; straight forward bones with Ik's that are parent constrainted (is that a word) to control curves. All bones are then parented to a master control curve. I have locaters acting as Pole vectors (via constraints). All this may be "Old school" but it is the only school that I know. None of these are giving me any problems.
The problem that I am having is the her face. She has a group of Blend shapes that apply to the head the are being driven by a Gui which are nothing more than NURBS curves that through set driven keys make the face do what i need it to. There are really no other deformers interacting with her face at all. All of the vertices on the head are either directly influenced via paint skin weights to either the bone in the top of her head or to the end Jaw bone.
I have a really simple set up...... I don't do this for a company professionally....
When I scale her down, or rotate her, the Vertices around her eye sockets move and make her look pocessed. the blend shapes still work adding to the look but don't correct the issue. I even tried the method of selecting the vertices, moving them, and then hitting Ctrl Z but they stay where they were.
I apologize for the length of this message.. I tried to simplify and yet put enough detail in that you could help....
Once again I REALLY appreciate any and ALL help that you give me. I can not tell you how much each of these little things like "Inherits Transfroms" really help me to help my students later. Man I wish there was a way i could learn this awesome stuff a a professional level, like going to one of the big league schools, and not have to quit my job (which is one small reason why i am learning all of this), uproot my family, and so on just to get the trining I need.......
Thanx,
