Well, i have this weired problem of my screen freezing, i notice this especially when i work in photoshop ...if i drag an image in the layer im workin in the screen feeezes....also i notice this happens sometimes when i open a avi file from a CD......i tried reinstalling Photoshop......and also reinstalling Win2k...though this fixed the problem of freezing when i open Avi files......the photoshop problem still occurs.
at this point hitting ctrl+alt+del dont do a thing....the screen just stays frozen.....and i have to turn off the power......anyone havin similar problems...or know whats happening....would like to hear from you.

I think to get good advice you may want to give some info on your system, particularly your video card. On another note, I had a very similiar problem with Photoshop and what finally fixed it for me was deleting the preferences file completely (even though I reinstalled Photoshop, I had to manually delete the pref file to correct the problem). good luck.
Thanks for the reply, i use a Gforce 2MX Video card, dual processor Motherboard,however is running only one processor (800 Mhz Intel Pentium III) right now, Win2K OS, 1gig of Ram.
I will try deleting the pref files and let you know how that went......thanks again for the reply.

ok,after deleting everything possible...and seeing no improvements whatsoever....i decided to format my hardrive and reinstall everything.....and lo and behold....i have the very same problem.....so im older and wiser now....and its dawned on me that it probably is a hardware related problem.....so if any of you have similar problems check your hardware before doing anything else.
