Yes making one without any b-rep, if the surfaces are flat and mostly quad, data count is not concern.
Just turn the shape to subdiv, crease all edges, turn to nurbs, rebuild to linear 1-1 spans.
If its all tris and quads you can also do boundary form edges per cycle for better results for the tris at lower datacounts.
for arbitrary flat nsided faces you can do a planar for each faces edge conversion.
