Thast where its supposed to go. Thats where the scipt editors are stored.*
default script folder and maya seems to ignore my Maya.env file.
The script folders are for autosourcing, and its hould be more than just one folder. So it attacks a totally different thing. They are not in any way rrelated (also where to load and where to save are different things).
what exactly you think theese two would mirror things?
*it opens to the folder you used last, but since every time you load maya they get overriden back here since the prefs get loaded. so its back to square one. you could foce it to use a file form another dir at every load of maya thet would redirect it but thats a hack.
PS: no that theres much ned ofr this kind of feature, ive never actually seen any serious maya user use those file options since its just easier to launch the scipts directly form the editor you use to edit the files on disk. And ofcourse while the save might be usefull, loading something into the script editor omce its on disk is a bit counterproductive.
Besides it would still be in the worng folder since maya scipts reside in a 101 places.
OTOH why not make a link inside the ecript temp to launch you where your scipts really are?
