Setting An Env Var In Suse 10.1![shake Related]

Hi Guys

Does anyone know of an equivalent env var for "NR_OPENGL_RENDER" for linux?

This is used by Shake to force the software to only use the opengl accelerator for the UI,

However Can someone tell me how can I permanently set this ENV on Suse 10.1, I seem not to find the bashrc file?
