I have a problem with a lighter, not completely transparent shadow being cast by the transparent part of the .PNG used to texture my character. It's a "paper cutout" character. If you look carefully, the render shows a ligher shadow being cast by the rectangle, in the areas which are supposed to be 100% transparent.
My material is a Lambert with the .PNG mapped to the color and transparency slots, ambient color at 50% grey, incandescence is black, diffuse is 1.0, translucence and depth and focus at 0.0. Changing various parameters and trying a different material type didn't help. I am using a Mental Ray render on Production quality, and using Ray Trace shadows.
I am thankful for any advice on how to fix this shadow problem.
