in maya 4.5 if you make a box and set double sided to off, then reverse the normals and place a shadow casting light outside the box you will get the inside of the box illuminated, do this is maya 5 and you will get a pitch black box, it seems that maya 5 sees the non facing side of a non double sided face as 'shadow casting', maya 4.5, does not..
this is driving me nuts,
anyone have a solution ?
