Shake 3.5 screen artifacts

has anyone ever encountered this problem and found a solution?
I'm running shake 3.5 on a G5 dual 2GHz with 2.5GB RAM with two Samsung TFTs and a nVidia GeForce 6800 GT. You'd think that would be enough "power" to run shake, yet for some reason on one of my screens there's serious "artifacting" whenever I scroll through my parameters. on the other screen it works fine and if I only run it on one screen it works fine as well (on either one). Can anyone help me out?

thanx
Phil

artifacting sounds like a video card problem. Maybe you have a bad one.

that's what I thought at first, but it doesn't happen with any other software or games. It happened before with the standard nVidia that was in the G5, there I thought it's because it was only a 64MB graphics card (32 per screen).

the fact that other progs dont suffer problem does not proove its not the graphics card. Its totaly possible for a highend app to bug jsut because it asumes FULL ogl compatibbility form the cards side whail most other progs dont behave incorrectly.

We had some problem like this when we tried to run over 2 monitors... never really looked into it after that.

I think shake requires your to actually buy the application if you expect it not to give you problems, because of a simple problem like that you think you would call apple and ask them. Does a 3k application come with customer support? I think so. Thus if you want the problem to go away, either get a better [k] or d/l a better [k]ed copy. Trust me, you have more the enough power to run shake. Let me guess, the window that is giving you problems is the curve editor right?

Hrrrmm.. Yes, you WOULD expect 3k app to come with decent customer care but having spent hours on the phone w 'Shake Pro team' trying to solve problems like 'Five recursive undos will cause program to crash', and being told that my problem is far too advanced to be handled w basic customer care (and being adviced to buy yearly maintenance package for 1000EUR or so), I would think twice before blaming [k]ed versions. True, even the tutorial mentiones that Shake and undo are not the best friends, but still..

I'm running Shake w two LCDs plus broadcast monitor and suffering from frequent problems on the broadcast one (banding, field fuckups, b&w instead of color etc).
