Shake Imports Video? And Problems With This Version

hi all,

im very new to shake and i just started to learn it after a friend gave me some of its tutorials that came with it. I learned to use the stabilizer however after importing some recorded video in .asf .mpeg or .mov format they wouldnt play. Cant shake play the files? Does it support only images and sequences? And if so is there any program we can buy to convert video to image sequences?

you do undertsand that you just told everybody that you use a priated version! (reason being thet theres less than a handfuull of windows licences in exsitence in the world and somehow you get as many new windows users every year?!?! so either those lics rotate realy fast, wich is unlikely, or this)

well to be honest i dont know because i didnt buy it myself, as i said a friend gave it to me to learn it. But thank you for mentioning it because now im curious to know if you are right and i hope its not, because id be very betrayed. but just in case i will remove it.

Joojaa thanx for informing me and sorry for any inconvinience i caused but you were actually right. So there is no point of fixing it now that i know all this. I quess i have to find a used version for Linux or something, or there is no other way im learning this. Its too expensive for my pocket.

if you can get hold of a mac for a while you can download the 30day demo and use that to learn...
would give you much more anvanced features to work with as well.

a ok that would be great since we have a good G5 at work. However would i bebable after 30 days to download another trial to learn for another 30? Because i dont think 30 days only would be enough.

well, you probably could extend the 30days demo by using a few tricks but i'm not sure if this is exactly approved by the demo licence, so you're at your own here...
anyway, the limitations of the demo (no save, no copy paste) will make you think about shelling out some bucks (it's not that much anymorre) really soon if you want to use it on real world projects.

no its not for projects for sale or anything, just for learning since i just started. the copy paste is a bit of a pain if i change a stabilizer, and not having the original but i quess its fair. Learning is always the hard bit lol.

i was just wondering for the trial because some programs when u install them, they mess up with your registry in wondows, so i dont know about mac or linux, if you install the demo can you reinstall it for another 30 days again or it wont let you?
