What is the difference between Shake 4.1 and Shake SDK?

sdk = software development kit. You use it to write plugins for Shake.

how do i get it? I read someone that you have to email apple and ask them for it after you purchase shake. is that the correct way to get it?

You have to sign up for the free version of the apple developer connection to get the download.

You still need to get the SDK before you can start developing for it...

I sent them a message and they haven't emailed me the SDK package. It's been several weeks. Any other suggestions?

Also, If I buy the SDK Book which I'm sure I probabbly will. What exactly am I going to learn? How is it going to improve my workflow or add to my ability to create and design inside of shake?

ok. like I said I'm a bit hasty and I went out and bought it. Still I want to know what its going to do to increase/ improve my workflow and that kind of stuff.

In the meantime I'll work through the lessons and see where it takes me.

Why do they have to email you anything? You just sign up for the free adc membership and then download it direct from that link I gave.

Wow. I checked that link out when you first sent it, but the link you really need to signup is way up in the top corner and the page doesn't say "Click here to become a Member".

I figured it out eventually. Thanks for the info.

How about uses?

What will be the greatest thing to learn from this? What kind of things specically will I be able to do once I am under way with this new feature?

What new feature?

SDK=software development kit. It's not going to give you any new features. An SDK is the hooks so you can write your own plugins for an application (write it in C, compile in xcode).

Thanks Beaker. I looked around some more and got the training DVD's in today on it. It makes sense now. I couldn't grasp the programming side of it untill I dug deeper.
