Hiya,
A follow up to my previous post. I'm using an attribute map to set the density of a 2d fluid to do some text effects. The effects work well but I'm having trouble getting clean lines around the render of the text. I've upped the resolution of the fluid to 1000x1000 and I'm projecting a 1024x1024 texture onto it. If I go further say 1300x1300 and re-import the attribute map then strangely the text appears to be more jagged and less smooth. I'm not sure what's going on here. Is there a trick to achieve perfectly smooth renders of imported attribute maps?? Thanks in advance!

well, that fluids, it is not really build to have hard edges. i would mix a real text that switch to the fluid when it suppose to move. or create a 3d text in maya at the same position, i will render it alone and use this matte as a garbage for the fluid edges.

why make things complicated when they can be simple ?

hope this helped
