shelfButtons' font not working or am I wrong?

all I was looking for weird big and fatty bold font style for shelfbutton labels.I wanted to change the style if there is on shelf editor.
but there wasnt an option. Ilooked to shelf.mels ,although they got parameter set to tinyBoldLabelFont,labels for shelfbuttons looks like boldLabelFonts.and than :

I tried executing the official example of shelfButton at:

I changed  some font styles something like this
-annotation "Redo last operation."

-image1 "redo.png" -command "redo" -imageOverlayLabel "redo" -font "smallPlainLabelFont"

tried fixedWidthFont etc.
and seems always draws as bolLabelFont and other font styles not working for shelfButton

am I doing something wrong ?

Yap nothing you can do. The fonts actually change but the qt versions of maya use a very similliar font for all of them so its hard to see any difference. The difference is more noticeable in say maya 2009
