Should I Bother Learning Shake?

I would like to learn a high end compositing package. I was thinking about learning shake, but I heard that apple was no longer developing it. Is it worth my time to learn the program?

Yes. Apple will eventually come out with a new product that is more advanced. They spent tons of money buying shake from its original developers.

Anyways, learning the art of high end compositing is what is important. The knowledge is transferable into many other compositing programs. ie. Combustion, etc.
