Smart Script For Proxies

Is there a command line script to render one proxy sequence at a time? Say I have 30 dpx sequences, is it possible to write a script that will allow me to enter all 30 sequences in one command but render only one sequence at a time? My system bogs down or craps out if I render more than 6 at a time.

i'm not quite sure if i understand exactly you need to do, but you could always try writing a batch render script with &&

like:
shake -exec script1.shk && shake -exec script2.shk && shake -exec script3.shk
etc.

Let me just clarify my previous post. I have 30 dpx sequences. From a command line I need to write 1 command that will render proxies for these sequences one at a time.

So...
Sequence A will render proxies. Then when Sequence A is finished it will move onto Sequence B. Then when Sequence B is complete it will move onto Sequence C and so on. 1 command to render 30 proxies one at a time.

well, have a look at page 161 of the manual (and a bit before and after that)..
then combine this with the method above or write the commands in a small batch script (search the forum if you're unsure how to do that).

do you have a script that you need to render different frame ranges for or do you want to do it completely from the command-line without a script?
