Snap To Curve Won't Work!

Hi all:
For some reason, curve snapping is not working in my setup.
Both grid and vertex snap work, and when I press the "c" key, the "snap to curve" button becomes pressed, but no snapping...
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you ever want curve snapping to work you have to use your middle mouse button. Otherwise its a futile attempt Because maya wont know WHICH curve to snap to.

select the point, move curseor over cyurve (dont click anything), mmb press and slide.

Snapping + maya = using middlemouse button!

Rule of thumb:

If your not using middle mouset about as much as your left mouse button then your most likely using maya wrong.

Works on edges too! Could you give me a quick list of what else I should be using the MMB for (no worries if its a bother)?

MMb on screen is a sort of do what you would for the manipulator selected but where my mouse is right now. So what you do to move stuff that you cant see snap pivots etc ec. Also mmb works if you select channel in channelbox (i suggest you hit the show manip button for more options.shift and ctrl modify sensitivity) and mmb slide sideways. All maya number fields have virtual sliders what you do is you hit ctrl down when one the fiekld and lmb mmb or rmb on the field. Middlemouse over time line changes time but does not update screen, all movement in curve editor is mmb, icons can be dragged with mmb.

Those are the main uses. Snapping is almost all done by mmb as iit sabvves time from digging the manipulator in plce (especialu good in conjunction ith d + v)

Thanks for taking the time to list them. I didn't realize the difference using the MMB to snap and I didn't know about the virtual sliders in the numeric fields. Very useful.

oh forgot nodes connect default on ctrl mmb drag. (you can modufy the defualts if you wish.)
