I was so happy when i found out that maya 4.5 has vertex snapping in the UV editor, but now snapping in the 3d view is screwed up. If you snap a group of components of an object on a single axis, it wont do what it did in previous versions and snap all components to the axis and flatten them. Instead it now snaps them as if they were grouped or something. It's really frustrating! Does anyone know of a fix for this?
yeah, turn relative off ..or is it...'retain component spacing', in the tool settings. this is the kind of thing you find out in the handy Whats New section ....only takes, perhaps unfortuneately, a few mins to read.
