Hi everyone!
I've a simple stone texture 512x512px
The texture has been taken from a photo.
I've to apply it to a mesh into 3dsmax and I'd like to avoid the tile effect 'casue the texture is small and the surface to apply to is big.
Well.. in photoshop I've yet mirror the edges of the picture (top/down - left/right) in the way that it will not be visible the line of texture repetition.
It works good but texture repetition it's yet too much visible.
So I'm looking for a software that could create a texture bigger then the original and which could apply a sort of randomization (rotation, scale, mirror) of the origianl texture.
For example: original texture 512x512px, fianl texture 1024x1024px, it means that the original texture is repeated 4times, we can call these Tx1a - Tx1b - Tx1c - Tx1d, for randomiziation I mean that Tx1a is rotated 90degrees, Tx1b is mirrored, Tx1c is scaled a little bit.. and so on.
I know it could be done into photoshop by hand, but I'd like to know if a software could help in a more precise and professional way.
Sorry for the lenght of the post.
Thank you very much for any advice.
