You dont need a plugin for this. All you need is a [Animation] Animate -> Motion Paths -> Attach to Motion path. Then just time offset the patha anim x times ( you may want to use a arc length domesnion node to calculate the length of your path to get the offsets spread correctly).
But offcourse this all depends on your real need you could use multibody simlation aswell. Check out the scriopts section many many rigs of this kind can be found there.
